Bill Smith Ballpark Softball
The Bill Smith Ballpark was named after long-time USAO administrator Bill Smith, who donated his personal baseball memorabilia to raise funds to reinstate baseball and begin softball at the university in the mid-1990's.
The ballpark’s capacity can accommodate up to 1,000 spectators and has hosted numerous SAC Tournaments, as well as the NAIA Softball National Championship-Opening Round.
The facility is home to a top notch playing surface, with a two-story press box, a concession stand, and the Nance Wier Softball Training Center, which houses a VIP suite, coaches offices, locker room, laundry room, and indoor training area.
The softball complex is located at the corner of 23rd Street and California Avenue.
