Athletes of the Week
In 2020, Madison Garcia made the courageous decision to move from Hawaii to Chickasha, Okla. for her collegiate career. Garcia is a member of the USAO volleyball team as well as a student-worker in the sports information department, and she has had a one-of-a-kind experience on campus, seeing the ins-and-outs of how the entire athletic department functions.
VOLLEYBALL
On Tuesday, March 19, Conner Cryer claimed his second consecutive championship with a tremendous performance at the CBC Invitational. Cryer carded a three-round score of 216, after scoring a 76 in the first round, followed by back-to-back rounds under par to close out the victory (71, 69).
Men's Golf
Sophie Williams' junior season is off to a terrific start, having already collected four SAC Pitcher of the Week awards, as well as a pair of NAIA SB Pitcher of the Week awards, and a NAIA Pitcher of the Week award. So far this season, she owns a 12-2 record 1.14 earned run average, along with 107 strikeouts in 74.0 innings pitched. Furthermore, she owns wins against six teams that are currently ranked or receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll (#5 Oklahoma City, #12 Midland, #13 Mobile, #17 Middle Georgia, RV Missouri Baptist, RV Campbellsville).
