
Cryer Leads USAO to Third Place Finish at Kyle Blaser Invitational
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – On Monday and Tuesday, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma men's golf team delivered a strong performance at the Kyle Blaser Invitational, closing the tournament in third place as a team.
The course at Gaillardia Country Club was a challenging 7255-yard, par 72 layout. The Drovers completed with a three-round score of 943 (325, 310, 308). The tournament featured a star-studded field, including five teams ranked or receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll (No. 4 Oklahoma City, No. 9 Wayland Baptist, No. 23 Kansas Wesleyan, RV USAO, RV Bellevue).
Conner Cryer led the way for the Drovers and earned a top 10 finish as he concluded in sixth place with a three-round total of 229 (78, 73, 78). Tate Trotter finished in 16th with a total of 237 (83, 78, 76), followed by Cooper Hardison in a tie for 17th as he carded a 238 (83, 78, 77).
Luca Gisler placed in a tie for 23rd with a score of 242 (84, 81, 77). Jaeden Ellis and Tucker McDonald placed back-to-back in 42nd and 43rd, respectively. Ellis carded a 252 (81, 86, 85), while McDonald carded a 254 (86, 85, 83). Parker Pogue finished in a tie for 46th with a 260 (90, 87, 83), followed by Luke O'Dell in 48th with a 262 (85, 84, 93).
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Drovers will return to the course on April 7-8 as they compete at the Midwest Spring Invitational. The tournament will be played at Colbert Hills Golf Course in Manhattan, Kan.
