USAO runner wins 3000 meter race
USAO newcomer Dylan Keegan was the top finisher in the 3000 meter race at the University of Central Broncho Invitational Saturday in Norman.
Keegan's time was 20 seconds faster than second-place finisher Max McNeil of Oklahoma City University. He also was well under the NAIA Indoor qualifying time of 8:40 which earned him a spot in the indoor championships later this year.
USAO sent participants in both the 3000 meters and the high jump.
Other USAO runners in the 3000 meters were Mike Muhuhu who finished 13th with a time of 10:02, Damian Armendariz (FR/Cache, OK) was 17th with a time of 10:53 and Travis Hubbard (JR/Skiatook, OK) was 20th with a time of 11:45.
Turkcer Mora, a freshman from Waurika, placed third in the high jump with a mark of 6-2 ¾.
