USAO posts impressive marks at third meet
The USAO men and women's track and field team competed in its third event of the spring at the University of Central Broncho Open Saturday at the Moser Indoor Facility in Norman.
The Drovers sent six men and one women all in efforts to gain a qualifying standard that would enter them into the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships next month.
USAO's top finisher was Dylan Keegan (FR/Dublin, Ireland) who placed third in a field of 32 runners in the one mile distance with a time of 4:26.69. Keegan was joined by three other Drovers who ran the same distance. They were Mike Muhuhu (SO/Nairobi, Kenya) who placed 11th with a time of 4:37.74, Damian Armendariz (FR/Cache, OK) who was 27th at 5:12.67 and Travis Hubbard (JR/Skiatook, OK) who was 30th with a time of 5:15.62.
Tucker Mora (FR/Waurika, OK) matched his season-best effort in the high jump with a leap of 6-4 ¾. He finished third in a field of nine competitors.
Also competing for USAO was Christopher Wise who placed sixth in the shot put with a toss of 41-3 and newcomer Sharon Jebet who was fifth out of 19 runners in the women's mile with a time of 5:36.42.
