Drovers Open 2024 Indoor Track & Field Season at the NAIA/JUCO Challenge in Kansas
PITTSBURG, Kan. – Saturday afternoon, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma track and field teams opened the 2024 indoor season at the NAIA/JUCO Challenge, hosted by Pittsburg State University.
MEN'S RESULTS
The top men's performance came from Aarin Simon as he finished in third place of the 600-meter run with a time of 1:22.03. Ryan Joseph finished the 600-meter race in 25th place with a time of 1:31.06.
Quintin Pennells earned a team-best result of 33rd place in the 200-meter dash.
Tyrike Cunningham competed in the 60-meter dash as well as the 400-meter dash, with finishes of 30th and 35th, respectively.
Antonio Reyna finished in 32nd for the men's shotput, with a distance of 9.41 meters.
Omario Johnson finished in 21st for the 60-meter dash, and 48th in the 200-meter dash. Crispin Mbii concluded in 26th place of the 60-meter dash and 35th in the 200-meter dash. Daylen Huff finished the 60-meter dash in 48th place and finished in 78th in the 200-meter. Hunter DeWall earned a 55th place finish in the 400-meter dash, followed by a 86th place finish in the 200-meter dash.
Colby Keller finished in 71st place for the 60-meter dash, and Brayden Keller earned a 84th place finish in the 200-meter dash.
WOMEN'S RESULTS
Cameryn McColley led the women's squad with a sixth-place finish in the high jump, with a best attempt of 1.53 meters.
Kyra Willett concluded the women's shot put with a 20th place finish, courtesy of a 9.41 meter throw.
Trinity Albao-Cozad earned a 35th place finish in the women's 400-meter dash with a time of 1:14.17.
Savannah Creech completed the 200-meter dash in 28.90 for a 49th place finish.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Drovers will return to the track on Saturday, January 27 as they compete at the Wendy's/Pittsburg State Invitational in Pittsburg, Kan.
