Drovers Open 2024 Season at Aggie Duels
LAWTON, Okla. – Friday morning, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma women's and men's cross-country team opened the 2024 season at the Aggie Duels, hosted by Cameron University.
The Drover men finished in eighth-place as a team in the 8-kilometer race. Aarin Simon led the Drovers with a 63rd place finish with a time of 33:55.54. Hunter Dewall concluded in 66th with a time of 37:12.38, followed by Tyrike Cunningham in 67th with a time of 37:46.49. Quintin Pennells crossed the line in 68th with a time of 38:11.81. Colby Keller finished in 41:38.90 for a 70th place finish.
The women's team had three runners compete in the 5-kilometer race. Trinity Albao-Cozad led the way for USAO and finished in 72nd place with a time of 23:34.52. Ah'Briana Avery closed in 79th with a time of 26:09.27, followed by Laura Barrios Bardi in 81st with a time of 27:52.25.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Drovers will return to the course on Thursday, September 12 as they compete at the Mustang Derby in Wichita Falls, Texas, hosted by Midwestern State University (NCAA DII).
