Harris Scores 28 as USAO Wins Big at OPSU

GOODWELL, Okla. – Thursday evening, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (12-8, 10-6 SAC) went on the road and cruised to a 74-39 victory at Oklahoma Panhandle State University (1-18, 1-15 SAC). With eight games remaining in the regular season, the Drovers sit in fifth place in the Sooner Athletic Conference standings. The top eight teams in the conference qualify for the conference tournament, and the top four seeded teams will host the first round, prior to the tournament being moved to Langston University for the semifinals and finals.

On Thursday, the Drovers got off to a rough start and trailed 8-3 midway through the opening quarter. However, USAO found their rhythm and used a 10-0 run to capture the lead for the remainder of the contest. The Drovers held a 20-11 advantage after 10 minutes of action. USAO dominated the second quarter, outscoring Panhandle State 21-2 to take a 41-13 lead into halftime.
