Woloss Leads USAO to Victory at the Evangel Spring Invitational

NIXA, Mo. – On Monday and Tuesday, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma women's golf team opened the spring with their second team victory in program history at the Evangel Spring Invitational. Furthermore, the individual victory for Hudson Woloss is the fourth such win in program history, joining two-time victor Hannah Price, and one-time champ Moriah Shropshire.

 

The tournament was competed at Rivercut Golf Course in Nixa, Mo., and the Drovers completed with a two-round score of 657 (330, 327). The course featured a 5818-yard, par 72 layout.

 

At the conclusion of the event, Woloss held a six-stroke lead, carding a two-round score of 155 (77, 78). Moriah Shropshire also placed in the top five as she finished in a tie for fourth with a total of 166 strokes (86, 80). 

Addesen Glass and Alix Schueneman finished in a tie for sixth with identical scores of 168. Glass fired an 83 in the first round, followed by an 85 in the final round, while Schueneman shot a pair of 84's.

Emilee Slovak earned a top 10 finish as she closed in tenth as she carded a 182 (89, 93). Kiera Stehr concluded in a tie for 12th with a score of 186 (94, 92)

 

WHAT'S NEXT?

The Drovers will return to the course on April 7-8 as they compete at the Bethany College Classic, held at Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton, Kan.
