#23 USAO Collects Second Consecutive Shutout Victory

HILLSBORO, Kan. – Tuesday evening, the No. 23 ranked University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (3-1, 0-0 SAC) once again used sensational defense to collect a 1-0 victory on the road at Tabor College (0-2, 0-0 KCAC). The shutout victory is the second in a row for USAO, led by stellar defense and perfect net-minding by Caitlin Bishop.

 

The only goal of the game came in the 17th minute of the first half as Daniela Salinas scored an incredible header-goal off a beautiful assist from Caitlin Worthington to give USAO the lead. 

 

As a team, the Drovers attempted eight shots, including five that were put on goal. In comparison, the Bluejays attempted two shots, both of which were put on target.

 

 

WHAT'S NEXT?

The Drovers will return home for Alumni Day on Saturday, September 2 as they host Ottawa University (Kan.). The women's game is scheduled to kick-off at 5:00 PM, followed by the men's game at 7:30 PM.
