Simon and Albao-Cozad Lead the Drovers at the University of the Ozarks Invitational

CLARKSVILLE, Ark. – Saturday morning, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma women's and men's cross-country competed at the University of the Ozarks Invitational, hosted by University of the Ozarks (NCAA DIII). 

 

The Drover men finished in fifth place as a team in the 8-kilometer race, led by Aarin Simon with a 31st place finish and a finishing time of 32:32.60. Hunter DeWall concluded in 49th with a time of 40:59.40, closely followed by Tyrike Cunningham in 52nd with a time of 43:43.90. Quintin Pennells crossed the line in 54th with a time of 44:28.60 and Colby Keller placed 56th, clocking in at 47:25.70.

 

The women's team had four runners compete in the 5-kilometer race, led by Trinity Albao-Cozad with a finish in 22nd, and a time of 23:21.20. Ah'Briana Avery crossed the line in 36th with a time of 26:39.10. Kyli Reser concluded in 42 with a time of 38:31.70, immediately followed by Tanyaradzwa Mutara in 43rd with a time of 38:31.90.

 

WHAT'S NEXT?

The Drovers will return to the course next week (Saturday, Oct. 19) at the Weis-Crocket Invitational, hosted by Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla.
